Ancient stories from beneath Mount's Bay
Chapter One — The Guardian

Deep beneath the waves of Mount's Bay, where the tides of Penzance whisper old Cornish secrets, there dwells a guardian unlike any other.
~ ~ ~
The sea-folk know her name. So do the gulls that wheel above Morrab Road. And if you listen very carefully on a salt-bright morning, you might hear it carried on the wind.
~ ~ ~
Her name is Liberty.
~ ~ ~
She stands in the window of Molarky — painted in sea-glass teal and silver moonlight, crowned with the jewels of the ocean floor, her scales shimmering with the gold of sunken treasure. She has watched over this corner of Penzance for longer than the town has had a name.
~ ~ ~
She doesn't speak, exactly. But if you stand close enough, you'll feel it — a kind of hush, a held breath, the sense that something ancient is paying attention.
~ ~ ~
She chose this shop. She chooses every treasure in it.

We're rather glad she did. 🐚
